Special Weather Statement issued October 21 at 3:12PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT
Snow showers will continue to move across portions of North
Central Montana through late this afternoon, including Hill,
Blaine, Chouteau, Judith Basin, and Fergus Counties.
The main threat from these showers will be reduced visibility in
blowing and falling snow. Visibility will fall below one mile at
times with heavier snow showers and northerly winds gusting over
25 mph.
Some areas could also receive minor snow accumulations of 1 to 3
inches during this time.
These showers will be in advance of more widespread light snow
developing this evening and overnight.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued October 21 at 5:17PM EDT until October 22 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Key West FL
* WHAT...Saltwater flooding.
* WHERE...Upper Florida Keys, especially Bayside communities.
* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots
is expected. Some storm drains will overflow, and some
seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less
clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that
persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost
certain to contain a mix of saltwater.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Saltwater flooding will continue, with no
relief at low tide. The current extent of saltwater flooding
indicates that the concern for saltwater flooding will linger at
least into this weekend.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Special Weather Statement issued October 21 at 2:23PM PDT by NWS Reno NV
Two cold fronts will move through the Sierra and western Nevada,
one tonight and another Sunday. Colder temperatures behind the
first front will bring widespread freezing temperatures Friday
morning, see the Freeze Watch for details.
On Sunday, a stronger cold front is likely to move through with
much colder temperatures. There is an increasing chance that highs
Sunday into Monday may only be in the 30s and 40s. Overnight lows
Monday and Tuesday mornings may only be in the teens in western
Nevada with single digits in the Sierra valleys. A few below zero
readings are not out of the question either. In addition, gusty
winds are behind the front Sunday into Monday morning will make
it feel even colder.
Sensitive plants should be moved indoors and any late season
vegetables harvested by Thursday afternoon. With the much colder
temperatures Sunday into early next week, be sure to drain all
outdoor irrigation systems.

NWS Denver CO
Red Flag Warning issued October 21 at 3:32PM MDT until October 22 at 8:00AM MDT by NWS Denver CO
...RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS...THEN AGAIN FOR
SOUTH PARK THURSDAY...
...RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT FOR LOW HUMIDITY...GUSTY WINDS...AND POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERY
OVERNIGHT...
.Red Flag conditions continue in the mountain valleys and
foothills this afternoon. Conditions will improve in the valleys
this evening, but the foothills will have windy conditions
with poor humidity recovery. Overnight maximum humidity in the
foothills will be in the 20 to 30 percent range while winds
increase with gusts of up to 50 mph possible, mainly down to about
9000 feet and wind prone lower foothill locations. The foothills
will see a shift to northeast winds with cooler temperatures and
higher humidities behind a cold front Thursday morning. These
winds may also gust up to 30 mph during the day Thursday. Critical
conditions will return to South Park Thursday.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 215 and 216.
* Timing...Until 8 AM MDT Thursday.
* Winds...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, relaxing to
gusts to 25 mph this evening, increasing back up to 10 to 20 mph
with gusts 25 to 40 mph, highest readings above 7000 feet.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 12 percent.
* Impacts...Ongoing drought conditions combined with strong
winds and low relative humidity mean conditions are prime for
rapid fire growth. Poor humidity recovery overnight with the
gusty winds will allow continuation of active fire behavior.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
