Rip Current Statement issued November 17 at 5:33PM ChST until November 18 at 6:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet along north facing
reefs. Expect dangerous rip currents along any reefs that receive
north to northeast swell. Surf is expected to subside to between 7
and 9 feet Wednesday night, then below hazardous levels Thursday.
* WHERE...North facing reefs of Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming conditions, especially in and
around any cuts in the reef. Rip currents can sweep even the
best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the
current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If
unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Flood Watch issued November 16 at 11:36PM PST until November 18 at 4:00PM PST by NWS Seattle WA
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of northwest Washington, including the following area,
Mason.
* Through Wednesday afternoon
* Heavy rain over the southern portions of the Olympics could push
the Skokomish river in Mason county above flood stage late
tonight. The current forecast indicates that the river could
remain near flood stage through Wednesday as additional rain falls
in the region. A second rise is possible on the Skokomish River on
Wednesday afternoon, potentially causing another round of minor
flooding. Please stay tuned to river forecasts for future updates.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert
for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding
should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
