NWS Buffalo NY
Special Weather Statement issued November 17 at 7:59AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY
Lake effect snow will continue inland from Lake Erie this
morning. A rain and snow mix will occur near the Lake Erie
shoreline.
Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches will occur through
late this morning. While the most notable accumulations will be
on grassy and elevated surfaces, untreated roads will be slush
covered and slick. Motorists should continue to allow extra time
to reach their destination this morning.
This includes the 219 from Ellicottville to North Boston.
Since mainly rain is expected at lower elevations closer to the
Lake Erie shoreline, the New York State Thruway will experience
just wet surfaces this morning.
