gradually become more swell dominated. Winds will continue to
diminish through the afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has extended the
* Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Sampson County in central North Carolina...
* Until 530 PM EST Wednesday.
* At 528 PM EST, Sampson County Emergency Management continues to
report flooded road ways in the vicinity of Black River near
Tomahawk. The river is starting to fall, with the latest gauge
reading at 5 PM Tuesday indicating the river was at 18.9 feet.
* Riley town and Wright Bridge roads just west of US-701 near Ingold
will be impassible. Water will reach properties along Black River
Ln north of NC-41. Lundy Rd will also be impassable northeast of
NC-411.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ivanhoe.
Flooding is occurring along the The Black River.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

...CRITICAL FIRE DANGER ACROSS THE PALMER DIVIDE AND LINCOLN
COUNTY WEDNESDAY...
.Near record warm temperatures combined with dry conditions and
gusty winds will result in critical fire danger across the Palmer
Divide and Lincoln County on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 11 AM to 5 PM MST Wednesday.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 241, 246 and 247.
* Timing... 11 AM to 5PM Wednesday.
* Winds...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 10 percent.
* Impacts... Ongoing drought conditions combined with strong
winds and low relative humidity mean conditions may be prime
for rapid fire growth.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

At 547 PM EST, a band of snow was located across the Mohawk Valley
and extended into northern Schoharie County.
Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow.
Locations impacted include...
Schenectady, Rotterdam, Ilion, Herkimer, Scotia, Little Falls,
Cobleskill, Canajoharie, Fonda, Duanesburg, Berne, Mohawk, Frankfort,
Fort Plain, Dolgeville, St. Johnsville, Altamont, Ephratah, Schoharie
and Newport.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 88 between exits 22 and 25.
Interstate 90 between exits 25a and 26, and between exits 28 and 30.
Interstate 890 between exits 1b and 4c.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
