the Neuse River At Fort Barnwell.
* Until Tuesday evening.
* At 7:30 PM EST Friday the stage was 14.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:30 PM EST Friday was 14.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Tuesday afternoon and continue falling to 12.1 feet Wednesday
evening.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, The river threatens homes along the north
bank of the river, at the end of Cow Pen Landing Rd. Many acres of
farmland flooded.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 15.9 feet Wednesday
evening.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Some homes and businesses southeast of
Kinston are flooded. Water floods several secondary roads
southeast of Kinston as well as Highway 11. Small streams across
Lenoir, southern Pitt and northern Craven Counties flood secondary
roads and may affect some homes.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:30 PM EST Friday was 12.6 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 7.1 feet Wednesday
evening.
* Impact...At 11.5 feet, Floodwaters begin to affect roads in
Alligator Lake subdivision. Flooding worsens in the River Bend and
River Birch subdivisions and along Croomsbridge Road and Old Maple
Hill Road.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.6
feet on 10/13/2005.

* At 7:00 PM EST Friday the stage was 100.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 100.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tomorrow evening and continue falling to 97.7 feet Wednesday
evening.
* Impact...At 100.4 feet, The piers on the Wildlife Road bridge over
Singleton Creek become submerged.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
