Special Weather Statement issued November 21 at 3:12AM CST by NWS Brownsville TX
Satellite images and surface observations indicate that areas of
fog...some locally dense...continue to develop across the
northern ranchlands early this morning. Visibilities were reduced
to a mile in general with isolated areas reduced to a quarter of
a mile. If the areas of dense fog become more widespread...a dense
fog advisory will be needed for the northern portions of deep
south Texas later this morning.
Motorists should drive with caution as visibilities may change
rapidly in a short amount of time. Use low beam headlights and
leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road
when encountering areas of dense fog.

Rip Current Statement issued November 21 at 3:40AM CST until November 21 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Brownsville TX
* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minor coastal
flooding.
* WHERE...Coastal Kenedy, Coastal Cameron and Coastal Willacy
Counties.
* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through this afternoon.

morning.
* IMPACTS...Wave run-up may approach the dunes along narrow

best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Do not drive through flooded roadways.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
Driving on the beach is not recommended near high tide.
