NWS Mount Holly NJ
Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 30 at 12:06PM EST until November 30 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-
lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
* WHERE...In New Jersey, Salem. In Delaware, New Castle.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most
vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full
road closures are possible.
A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road
closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.
Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to
costly repairs.
Visit the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service at
water.weather.gov/ahps for additional water level and flood
impact information for your local tide gauge.

Winter Weather Advisory issued November 30 at 11:12AM CST until November 30 at 9:00PM CST by NWS Chicago IL
* WHAT...Lake effect snow and strong winds expected. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts
possible. North winds gusting as high as 45 mph along the Lake
Michigan shoreline and to 40 mph inland through this afternoon.
* WHERE...Lake County Indiana.
* WHEN...Through 9 PM CST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Lake effect snow can produce rapidly changing
conditions, including sharp reductions in visibility, over
short distances. Plan on slippery road conditions, especially
under any heavier lake effect snow bands. Additionally, the
strong north winds will result in difficult travel for high
profile vehicles on west to east oriented roads. The hazardous
conditions due to snow and wind will likely impact the
interstate 80, 90 and 94 corridors through northwest Indiana,
developing this morning and continuing into this evening.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
The latest road conditions for Indiana are available by calling 1-

NWS Chicago IL
Winter Weather Advisory issued November 30 at 11:12AM CST until December 1 at 6:00AM CST by NWS Chicago IL
* WHAT...Lake effect snow and strong winds expected. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 5 inches across Porter County and
northeast Jasper County. North winds gusting as high as 45 mph
along the Lake Michigan shoreline and to 40 mph inland through
this afternoon.
* WHERE...Porter and Jasper Counties.
* WHEN...Through 6 AM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Lake effect snow can produce rapidly changing
conditions, including sharp reductions in visibility, over
short distances. Plan on slippery road conditions, especially
under any heavier lake effect snow bands. Additionally, the
strong north winds will result in difficult travel for high
profile vehicles on west to east oriented roads. The hazardous
conditions due to snow and wind will likely impact the
interstate 80, 90 and 94 corridors through northwest Indiana,
developing this morning and persisting through early Tuesday
morning.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
The latest road conditions for Indiana are available by calling 1-
800-261-7623.

subsiding. Initial swell heights of 7 to 9 feet at 19 seconds will
increase the risk of sneaker waves today. Swell heights will
build to 9 to 11 feet at 17 seconds to 18 seconds tonight and
early Tuesday morning before subsiding late Tuesday morning. A
much longer period swell train arrives Wednesday and result in a
much greater risk of these hazards.
* HAZARDS...Increased risk of sneaker waves and rip currents,
especially along the west and northwest facing beaches.
Additionally, breaking waves initially from 7 to 10 feet at 19
seconds today, then breaks from 10 to 13 feet at 17 seconds to
18 seconds tonight and early Tuesday morning.
* TIMING...10 AM PST today to 10 AM Tuesday.
* LOCATION...Coastal Sonoma County to coastal Monterey County, in
particular west to northwest facing beaches. Excludes the
Northern Monterey Bay beaches due to their southerly
orientation.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A much longer period northwest swell will
arrive Wednesday and continue through Thursday and result in a
much greater risk for sneaker waves and rip currents.
* POTENTIAL IMPACTS...Increased risk of ocean drowning. Sneaker
waves often catch people off guard and knock them into the
ocean. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea.
Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches
and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. Use extreme
caution near the surf zone as large waves will be capable of
sweeping people into the frigid and turbulent ocean water.
Cold water shock may cause cardiac arrest, and it also can
cause an involuntary gasp reflex causing drowning, even for a
good swimmer.
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
