NWS Mount Holly NJ
Coastal Flood Advisory issued January 31 at 2:26PM EST until February 2 at 5:00PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level
expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways.
* WHERE...Cumberland.
* WHEN...From 10 AM Monday to 5 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most
vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along
inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are
possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The wind will be blowing offshore, so tidal
flooding should be less than on the opposite shore of Delaware
Bay. There remains some uncertainty with regards to the degree
of tidal flooding expected however.
A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road
closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.
Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to
costly repairs.
Visit the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service at
water.weather.gov/ahps for additional water level and flood
impact information for your local tide gauge.

vulnerable structures may begin to occur.
A Coastal Flood Warning means that moderate or major tidal
flooding is occurring or imminent. Be prepared for rising water
levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property.
Follow the recommendations of local emergency management
officials.
Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be
deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in
danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly
repairs.
Visit the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service at
water.weather.gov/ahps for additional water level and flood
impact information for your local tide gauge.

Snow will persist this late day and early evening and
transition to scattered showers after sunset. Some of these
showers may notable and drop a quick half inch of snow.

Special Weather Statement issued January 31 at 2:50PM EST by NWS Northern Indiana
Light snow will persist at locations generally along and south of
Route 6 into early evening. Many areas will see little if any
additional accumulation. A few areas of heavier snow showers are
expected that could drop a few tenths of an inch per hour and
briefly reduce visibility to around a mile.
In addition, as temperatures fall this evening, wet or slushy
roads that are not treated may re-freeze, causing slippery
conditions overnight. Use caution if traveling into this evening.
