* At 10:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening and continue falling to 7.4 feet Monday morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Homes in low-lying areas on the downstream
side of Louisiana Highway 21 near the bridge will flood. The
access road upstream of the bridge will remain inundated.

* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
Friday morning and continue falling to 32.8 feet Wednesday, May 26.
* Impact...At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red
River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps
and river bottom farm land will be under water.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Guayanilla County in Puerto Rico...
Lajas County in Puerto Rico...
Yauco County in Puerto Rico...
* Until 400 PM AST.
* At 1256 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Yauco, Guayanilla, Lajas, Palomas, Lluveras, Liborio Negron
Torres, Indios, Magas Arriba, La Parguera and Palmarejo.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will provoke additional flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

AT 1158 AM CDT, radar indicated developing thunderstorms that may
produce funnel clouds. Organized storm rotation is not detected, and
the risk of tornadoes is low.
HAZARDS INCLUDE...
Wind gusts to 50 MPH...
Conditions are favorable for the formation of funnel clouds, but the
threat posed by these funnel clouds is low. Most funnel clouds will
not reach the ground. If they do, weak tornadoes with brief wind
gusts in excess of 50 MPH may occur.
If you observe a funnel cloud or one is reported in your area, move
indoors and stay away from windows.
