NWS Wilmington OH
Air Quality Alert issued May 25 at 8:38AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency has issued an Air Quality
Advisory for Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio;
Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County
in Indiana, until midnight EDT tonight.
The Agency expects to see levels of ozone in the 'unhealthy for
sensitive groups' range on the Air Quality Index.
On Air Quality Advisory days, everyone can help reduce ozone
formation by taking the following actions:
*Take the bus, carpool, bike, or walk instead of drive.
*Refuel your vehicle after 8 PM; do not top off when refueling
and tighten the gas cap.
*Do not idle your vehicle; exhaust contributes considerably to
ozone formation.
*Avoid use of gasoline-powered lawn equipment on Air Quality
Advisory days.
For additional information, please visit the Southwest Ohio Air
Quality Agency's web site at
www.southwestohioair.org/local_air_quality.

NWS Norman OK
Flood Warning issued May 25 at 7:42AM CDT until May 25 at 1:45PM CDT by NWS Norman OK
The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma...
Atoka County in southeastern Oklahoma...
Western Bryan County in southeastern Oklahoma...
Coal County in southeastern Oklahoma...
Eastern Johnston County in southeastern Oklahoma...
Eastern Marshall County in southeastern Oklahoma...
* Until 145 PM CDT Tuesday.
* At 742 AM CDT, Radar and observers indicated heavy rain across
southeast Oklahoma. Flooding of poorly drained and low lying areas
is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Durant, Atoka, Tishomingo, Coalgate, Kingston, Colbert, Caddo,
Achille, Stonewall, Wapanucka, Stringtown, Lehigh, Silo, Tupelo,
Milburn, Tushka, Caney, Kenefic, Bromide and Kemp.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
