Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected for much of the Southwest as the second front tracks north through Saturday morning, with higher totals possible near the Kuskokwim Mountains. Snow may continue to mix with freezing rain or transition to rain, leading to lower snowfall totals. Some uncertainty remains regarding how and where this transition will set up. Current thinking places the transition zone from Dillingham to King Salmon and then Goodnews Bay to Sleetmute, with rain further south. Any wintry mix is expected to be brief with minimal ice accumulations. As cold air returns behind the low Saturday, precipitation will begin gradually transitioning back to snow from west to east. Another low pressure system will move into the Southwest from Sunday into Monday, sending warmer air north once again with the potential for several more inches of snow and possible mixed precipitation. http://www.weather.gov AWIPSidentifier SPSALU WMOidentifier WWAK82 PAFC 220120 NWSheadline SNOW AND POTENTIAL WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION EXPECTED ACROSS BRISTOL BAY, THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA, AND MIDDLE KUSKOKWIM VALLEY THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY BLOCKCHANNEL EAS BLOCKCHANNEL NWEM EAS-ORG WXR BLOCKCHANNEL CMAS Lower Kuskokwim Valley; Kuskokwim Delta; Bristol Bay SAME 002050 SAME 002070 SAME 002122 SAME 002164 SAME 002170 SAME 002290 SAME 002158 SAME 002060 SAME 002150 UGC AKZ152 UGC AKZ155 UGC AKZ161 536 XOUS54 KWBC 220122 CAPJAN urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.f45709ff4de1716c102a56841055105507d7c07a.001.1 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov 2022-01-21T19:22:00-06:00 Actual Update Public IPAWSv1.0 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.34324e4cc5a240ae28b8c2a1ef652a0555930fd0.001.1,2022-01-21T09:18:00-06:00 en-US Met Flood Warning Avoid Immediate Severe Observed SAME FLS NationalWeatherService FLW 2022-01-21T19:22:00-06:00 2022-01-23T18:00:00-06:00 2022-01-22T07:30:00-06:00 NWS Jackson MS Flood Warning issued January 21 at 7:22PM CST until January 24 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Jackson MS * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Black River At West. * WHEN...From Sunday evening to Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 15 feet, Lowlands and agricultural land near the river begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 PM CST Friday the stage was 13.7 feet and nearly steady. - Forecast...The river is expected to begin rising on Saturday, reaching a crest of 15 feet Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 15 feet. http://www.weather.gov AWIPSidentifier FLSJAN WMOidentifier WGUS84 KJAN 220122 NWSheadline FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING BLOCKCHANNEL EAS BLOCKCHANNEL NWEM EAS-ORG WXR VTEC /O.EXT.KJAN.FL.W.0001.220124T0000Z-220124T1800Z/ eventEndingTime 2022-01-24T12:00:00-06:00 BLOCKCHANNEL CMAS expiredReferences w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.00d680f6b804483d9ec899ee0318c676b36c2fb4.001.1,2022-01-20T19:02:00-06:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.2b9ac3812c10361bb2252fed9f8e045feaa37444.001.1,2022-01-20T10:19:00-06:00 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.ab3f979e993afc28c21e8e0e89d701775ac28fa8.001.1,2022-01-19T09:30:00-06:00 Attala, MS; Holmes, MS 32.91,-90.06 33.14,-89.9 33.3,-89.81 33.22,-89.63 33.13,-89.69 32.85,-89.87 32.91,-90.06 SAME 028007 SAME 028051 UGC MSC007 UGC MSC051 808 XOUS54 KWBC 220122 CAPLZK urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.8b3ca5d94cc4aa31d56c002726de8c5310c4fea6.003.1 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov 2022-01-21T19:22:00-06:00 Actual Update Public IPAWSv1.0 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov,urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.54ff83bac5058051479f4b0e0f12a4e7b55902aa.001.1,2022-01-21T09:39:00-06:00 en-US Met Flood Warning Avoid Immediate Severe Observed SAME FLS NationalWeatherService FLW 2022-01-21T19:22:00-06:00 2022-01-21T19:22:00-06:00 2022-01-22T19:30:00-06:00 NWS Little Rock AR Flood Warning issued January 21 at 7:22PM CST by NWS Little Rock AR * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cache River Near Patterson. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Water deep over Woodruff County Road 775 north of HWY 260, and intersection of HWY 37 and HWY 18 east of Grubbs.
