This is a special weather statement from the National Weather
Service Office in Riveton.
* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph. Localized
wind gusts between 60 and 65 mph possible around Clark.
* WHERE...Cody Foothills roughly from about 10 miles south of
Cody, north to around Clark. The strongest wind is expected just
south of Clark to the junction of Highway 120 and the Chief
Joseph Highway.
* WHEN...The strongest winds are expected between 8 PM and 2 AM
tonight.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be control issues for
lightweight and high-profile vechiles especially along Highway
120. In a parking log, park into the wind to minimize the
possibility of your car door hitting another parked vehicle.

At 512 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Ogilvie, or 21 miles west of Pine City, moving
northeast at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

At 532 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 6 miles east of North Branch, or 18 miles east of
Cambridge, moving northeast at 65 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Chisago and northwestern Polk Counties, including the
following locations... Wolf Creek, Wyoming, Branch, Cushing and Wild
River State Park.
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

At 535 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of North Branch, or 20 miles east of Cambridge, moving
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow unsecured
objects around. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Trade Lake around 555 PM CDT.
Other locations in the path of this storm include Siren.
Anyone outdoors, including anyone on or in the water, should seek
shelter inside a sturdy building or hard topped vehicle.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive through flood waters.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. If

At 544 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Prescott, or 11 miles southwest of River Falls,
moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
east central Dakota, northern Goodhue and west central Pierce
Counties, including the following locations... Diamond Bluff.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
