Marine Weather Statement issued September 4 at 9:38AM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC
Conditions are favorable for the formation of waterspouts this
morning. Be alert for waterspouts in areas of showers or
thunderstorms. Based on current radar trends, the best chances for
waterspout development are with rain showers over the central
coastal waters and the eastern Pamlico Sound.
Showers or thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts.
Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.

NWS Anchorage AK
Marine Weather Statement issued September 4 at 5:52AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK
Radar trends overnight indicated moderate to strong thunderstorms
with the potential for gusty winds and lightning. The environment
remains favorable for these conditions through the day today.
Given the weak steering flow, it is hard to pinpoint where and
when these storms will materialize. Mariners should use cation
when near thunderstorms.
