earlier has started to improve, but there still remains some
residual high water.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
South Hill, Brodnax, La Crosse, Beechwood, Bracey, Palmer Springs,
John H Kerr Dam, Keats, Forksville and Eppes Fork.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, or 10 miles southwest of Tucson,

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Drexel Heights, South Tucson,
Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, Valencia West, Tucson International
Airport, Tucson Estates and San Xavier Mission.
This includes the following highways...

Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Louisburg, Franklinton, Kittrell, Youngsville, Centerville,
Ingleside, Gillburg and Afton.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Pocomoke City, Princess Anne, University Of Maryland Eastern Shore,
Snow Hill, Westover, West Pocomoke, Marion Station, Newark,
Cokesbury, Goodwill, Eden, Kingston, Shelltown, Longridge, Beaver
Dam, Whiton, Whitesburg, Oriole, Fairmount and Upper Hill.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other
light outdoor objects.

At 648 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles north of
Variadero, or 29 miles southwest of Mosquero, moving southeast at 5
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of north
central San Miguel County.
This includes State Road 104 near Mile Marker 51.

the park area.
At 42.0 feet, Boat ramp at the end of Bible Camp Road begins to
flood.
At 43.0 feet, Access to river gage becomes limited as the Bible Camp
Road boat ramp becomes flooded and the last half mile of Bible Camp
Road begins to flood in Columbia County. Overland flooding begins
past the Santa Fe River sink in the park and will cut-off access
road to south end of the park.
At 45.0 feet, Numerous walking trails in O'leno State Park are
flooded on the Alachua County side of the river. Flooding begins to
affect local roads north of Buzzard Roost Prairie in Columbia County.

Special Weather Statement issued September 12 at 8:59PM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA
At 859 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Westover, or near Pocomoke City, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around
unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile
vehicles. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Pocomoke City, Princess Anne, Snow Hill, West Pocomoke, Westover,
Boxiron, Cokesbury, Goodwill, Kingston, Manokin, Longridge, Mount
Wesley, Whiton, Girdletree, Whitesburg and Stockton.
Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other
light outdoor objects.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
