NWS Honolulu HI

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
The island of Oahu in Honolulu County
* Until 1145 AM HST.
* At 916 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain continuing over Oahu
with rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour over saturated ground.
The stream gage at Waiahole Stream indicated a significant rise in
water level, and the level at Waikane Stream was increasing as
well. Rainfall has also been occurring over urban areas on the
south side of the island that will produce flooding impacts on
roads and poor drainage areas.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,
properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road
closures possible in some areas. Landslides are
possible in steep terrain.
* This warning includes the entire island of Oahu.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of drainage
ditches and streams, streets, highways, properties, and other low
lying spots.
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even
if they are currently dry.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

NWS San Juan PR
Rip Current Statement issued February 4 at 3:47PM AST until February 6 at 6:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PR
* WHAT...Life threatening rip currents expected due to breaking
waves of up to around 6 feet.
* WHERE...Easternmost beaches of St. Croix.
* WHEN...From Sunday morning through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper waters.
There is a high risk of rip currents.
Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.
If you become caught in a rip current, yell for help. Remain
calm, do not exhaust yourself and stay afloat while waiting for
help. If you have to swim out of a rip current, swim parallel to
shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to
swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly.

NWS Caribou ME
Blizzard Warning issued February 4 at 2:54PM EST until February 4 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Caribou ME
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills. Wind
chills as low as 30 below zero. For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard
conditions. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Northern Penobscot and Southeast Aroostook Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions with drifting snow.
Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
Isolated to scattered power outages are possible. The dangerously
cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as
little as 10 minutes.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine
to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if
precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you
must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle.
The latest road conditions for Maine can be obtained by going to

NWS Caribou ME
Wind Chill Advisory issued February 4 at 2:54PM EST until February 4 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Caribou ME
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills. Wind
chills as low as 30 below zero. For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard
conditions. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Northeast Aroostook and Northwest Aroostook Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
