below. East winds gusting to 40 mph. Visibility one quarter

* IMPACTS...Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.
The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 65 below zero could
cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blizzard conditions will continue at Point
Lay through Sunday morning. Very cold wind chills will continue
in all areas through Monday morning. The strongest winds and

around one inch. North winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Visibility one quarter mile or less at times.
* WHERE...St Lawrence Island and Bering Strait Coast.
* WHEN...Until noon AKST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing snow will cause visibility near zero
at times. Large snow drifts will form. Wind chills to 30 below
zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blizzard conditions are occuring in the
Bering Strait, and are expected to spread to St Lawrence Island
tonight. Conditions are expected to improve slightly Sunday
afternoon, but windy conditions and blowing snow will continue
into Monday morning.
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely difficult.
