Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Kishwaukee River near Perryville affecting Winnebago County.
For the Kishwaukee River...including Perryville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Kishwaukee River from Confluence with South Branch
Kishwaukee River downstream to the Rock River, including the
Perryville gauge.
* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Old Perryville Road threatened south of
Rockford. Widespread inundation of agricultural land and forest
land near Chicago Rockford International Airport.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 12.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:30 AM CDT Monday was 12.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to continue to rise through
the day.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Until 845 AM CDT.
* At 710 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 32 nm south of Gulf Shores Beach. The
strong thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
* The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

Heavy rain has caused small streams to rise significantly over the
past 24hrs. The heavy rain will continue through Monday, pushing
small streams above minor flood stage through Monday evening.
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...Areas Around Montana Creek And Jordan Creek Mall.
* WHEN...Until 400 PM AKDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream
flows are elevated. Soils remain moist and excessive runoff will
result in minor flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, other
low-lying areas and flood-prone locations. Significant runoff may
cause flooding of creeks and rivers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 358 AM AKDT, satellite estimates and rain gauge data
indicate heavy rain across the advisory area. Rapid river
rises will cause minor flooding of small streams, especially
near Montana Creek and Jordan Creek. Between 2.0 and 4.5
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rates up to
0.2 inches per 1 hour is expected. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1.0 to 2.0 inches are possible through Monday
afternoon.
- For Jordan Creek near Juneau:
At 4:00am the stage was 9.65 feet and slowly rising.
Flood Stage is 9.7 feet.
Forecast: A crest around 10.3 feet is expected around 10:00am
Monday.
Water levels will go above minor flood stage around 5:00am
Monday.
Water levels will go below minor flood stage around 2:00pm
Monday.
Impacts:
At 9.2 feet: This is the stage when Jordan Creek is at
bankfull and water will begin to inundate areas along the
edges of the creek near Race Reality and Jordan Square.
At 9.7 feet: Water will inundate the Jordan Square's front
and back parking lots, around Jordan Creek office
condominiums with up to one foot of water. Some residential
driveways will be flooded and cut off.
- For Montana Creek at Back Loop Bridge:
At 4:00am the stage was 13.8 feet and slowly rising.
Flood Stage is 14.5 feet.
Forecast: A crest around 14.6 feet is expected around 4:00pm
Monday.
Impacts:
At 14.5 feet: Water begins flowing over the low water
crossing on Montana Creek Road. Bankfull conditions at the
gauge with water starting to inundate adjacent undeveloped
fields along Mendenhall Loop Road.
At 15.5 feet: Up to one half foot of water will flow over the
low water crossing on Montana Creek Road after the community
gardens. Water will approach and begin to inundate yards of
residences along the Northwest side of Mendenhall Loop Road.
- If you live near or along Montana Creek and Jordan stay alert
and be prepared to take action.

At 732 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of St. James, or 17 miles southwest of New Ulm, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
St. James, Madelia, Hanska, Lewisville, South Branch, Darfur, La
Salle, Sveadahl, Grogan, St James Airport, and Echols.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

area. Snowmelt is also occurring and will combine with rain
to cause minor flooding. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly. Additional rainfall amounts up to
0.5 inches are possible.
- For Chilkat River at Klukwan:
At 4:00am the stage was 126.0 feet.
Flood Stage is 126.0 feet.
Forecast: A crest around 126.2 feet is expected Monday
afternoon.
Water levels are forecasted to go below minor flood stage
Monday night.
Impacts:
At 126.0 feet: Bankfull stage. Water will begin to flood
backyards along the Chilkat River in the village of Klukwan.
At 126.5 feet: Expect flooding of yards and bank erosion near
the Jilkaat Kwan Cultural Heritage Center Campus Traditional
Knowledge camp in the village of Klukwan. Water will flood
lower elevations in backyards along the Chilkat River near
Klukwan and start to impact some smokehouse and a river
access road.

elevated surf expected. Surf heights around 4 to 6 feet in
southerly to southwesterly swell with 15 to 18 second wave
periods.
* WHERE...Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles
County Beaches.
* WHEN...From Tuesday morning through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can
wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats
nearshore.
Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or
stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
locations in such conditions, so stay off the rocks.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, The floodplain and some of the walking
trails within Spencer city park are flooded. Some rural
agricultural areas also begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 10.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:15 AM CDT Monday was 10.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to continue to slowly fall
