Northwestern Cedar County in northeastern Nebraska...
* Until 300 PM CDT.
* At 1201 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Colorado River Valley and around Lake Mead, Mohave, and Havasu
will range from 112 to 118. Central and southern Mohave county
including the Kingman area will range from 106 to 112. Cadiz and
Morongo Basins will range from 110 to 117.
* WHERE...Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Lake Havasu and Fort
Mohave, Northwest Deserts, Morongo Basin, Cadiz Basin, and San
Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT / MST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hot temperatures overnight will mean little
relief from the daytime heat, especially in lower elevations of
the Colorado River Valley, where low temperatures may not fall
below 90 degrees.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and
loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat

At 1209 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain in and around Yankton. Between 2
and 5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to
3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Georgia, including the following
counties, Baker, Early and Miller.
* WHEN...Until 345 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 150 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Colquitt, Douglasville, Damascus, Old Damascus, Jeterville,
Crestview, Harmony Church Rd/hwy 45, Rowena, Bethany and
Iveys Mill.

The following message is transmitted on behalf of the Wyoming
Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division, and the
Wyoming Department of Health.
* WHAT...Air Quality Alert for Wildfire Smoke.
* WHERE...Northwest Wyoming.
* WHEN...1 PM MDT Friday through 1 PM MDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Smoke from western US wildfires will limit visibilities
at times.
HEALTH INFORMATION...The Wyoming Department of Health recommends
that the elderly, young children, and individuals with respiratory
problems avoid excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor
activities during this time. Wildfire smoke is made up of a variety
of pollutants, including particulate matter and ozone, which can
cause respiratory health effects. Although these people are most
susceptible to health impacts, the Department of Health also advises
that everyone should avoid prolonged exposure to poor air quality
conditions.
CURRENT CONDITIONS...The Wyoming Department of Environmental
Quality, Air Quality Division offers near real-time air quality data
for Wyoming's monitoring stations and health effects information to
help the public interpret current conditions. Current air quality
