For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly. http://www.weather.gov AWIPSidentifier SVRRAH WMOidentifier WUUS52 KRAH 301945 eventMotionDescription 2024-08-30T19:44:00-00:00...storm...216DEG...5KT...36.0,-78.25 windThreat RADAR INDICATED maxWindGust 60 MPH hailThreat RADAR INDICATED maxHailSize 1.00 BLOCKCHANNEL EAS BLOCKCHANNEL NWEM EAS-ORG WXR VTEC /O.NEW.KRAH.SV.W.0161.240830T1945Z-240830T2015Z/ eventEndingTime 2024-08-30T16:15:00-04:00 BLOCKCHANNEL CMAS Franklin, NC; Nash, NC; Vance, NC; Wake, NC 36.0,-77.85 35.79,-78.25 35.82,-78.26 35.79,-78.3 35.92,-78.54 36.29,-78.4 36.0,-77.85 SAME 037069 SAME 037127 SAME 037181 SAME 037183 UGC NCC069 UGC NCC127 UGC NCC181 UGC NCC183 786 XOUS52 KWBC 301945 CAPFFC urn:oid:2.49.0.1.840.0.7bda644bba5c7105d9e53088a2f87a6cbe0ac6fc.001.1 w-nws.webmaster@noaa.gov 2024-08-30T15:45:00-04:00 Actual Alert Public IPAWSv1.0 en-US Met Special Weather Statement Execute Expected Moderate Observed SAME SPS NationalWeatherService SPS 2024-08-30T15:45:00-04:00 2024-08-30T15:45:00-04:00 2024-08-30T16:15:00-04:00 NWS Peachtree City GA Special Weather Statement issued August 30 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA At 345 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Canton, moving west at 5 mph.
