NWS Tiyan GU
Flood Advisory issued March 2 at 11:09AM ChST until March 2 at 12:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The entirety of Guam.
* WHEN...Until noon ChST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1108 AM ChST, satellite estimates indicate heavy rain in
the advisory area. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.6 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot,
Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo,
Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti,
Santa Rita and Umatac.
- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

NWS Tiyan GU
Flood Advisory issued March 2 at 11:59AM ChST until March 2 at 1:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Entirety of Guam.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM ChST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1158 AM ChST, satellite estimates indicate heavy rain in
the advisory area. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 0.6 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot,
Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo,
Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti,
Santa Rita and Umatac.
- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
