At 808 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Walnut Grove, or 19 miles south of Prescott, moving northeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Walnut Grove, Palace Station, Wolf Creek Falls, Mt. Union, Wagoner,
Wilhoit, and Copper Basin.
This includes State Route 89 between mile markers 295 and 303.

Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is

- At 809 PM MST /809 PM PDT/, trained weather spotters reported
heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor
flooding is already occurring. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches
of rain have fallen.

Fortuna Wash, Gila River and Colorado River.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Arizona, including
the following counties, in southwest Arizona, Yuma. In west
central Arizona, La Paz.
* WHEN...Until 1145 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 846 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of
rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Angeles Wash, Los, Indian Wash, Tenmile Wash, Gravel Wash and
Castle Dome Wash.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of North Central Yuma and Southwestern La
Paz Counties
