Special Weather Statement issued March 14 at 9:48AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
The combination of southwest winds gusting 15 to 20 MPH, relative
humidity falling into the 20 to 30 percent range, and drying fine
fuels today will lead to an elevated threat for rapid fire
spread.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you may burn outdoors. If you do burn, use extreme caution since
fires can increasingly escalate under these conditions.
