near 20% across the area this afternoon and winds are expected to
gust 20-25 mph out of the northwest. These conditions are expected
to lead to increased fire danger across the entire forecast area

Flood Watch issued March 26 at 1:07AM CDT until March 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following
areas, Brooks, Coastal Kenedy, Inland Kenedy, Jim Hogg, Kenedy
Island and Zapata.
* WHEN...From this evening through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains
and ditches may become clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Abundant gulf moisture combined with a slow moving storm
system will bring the potential for multiple rounds of

There is the potential for rapid runoff where excessive
rainfall occurs over areas that have seen extensive drought
conditions.
