- At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
feet early Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The combination of critically dry fuels, relative humidity values
as low as 16 to 25 percent and wind gusts as high as 15 to 20
mph, will result in an enhanced fire danger across much of
southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia away from the
immediate coast this afternoon. This includes the Francis Marion
National Forest.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter mile
or less in dense fog. For the High Wind Warning, northeast
winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM AKDT this
morning. For the High Wind Warning, from 1 AM to noon AKDT
Thursday.
* IMPACTS...High winds will blow around unsecured objects and may
damage property and cause power outages. Travel will be
difficult. Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.
Report any damage to the National Weather Service by visiting
weather.gov/Juneau/StormReports
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 9 PM EDT this evening.
* TIMING...This afternoon and evening.
* WIND..Sustained winds 10 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in higher
elevations and gusts up to 20 mph in foothills.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum RH values in the 20 to 30 percent range this
afternoon and evening. Lowest values expected in the foothills.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or are expected to occur shortly. A
combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm
temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

HAZARDS...An area of snow showers which can rapidly reduce
visibility to less than one mile.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 954 AM EDT, an area of snow showers was
along a line extending from Tamarack to near Lecontes Mills to
Carrolltown and moving southeast at 20 MPH.
THESE SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE NEAR...
North Philipsburg, Chester Hill, and Tamarack around 1000 AM EDT.
Loretto, Renovo, and Moshannon around 1005 AM EDT.
Black Moshannon State Park, South Renovo, and Clarence around 1010
AM EDT.
Gallitzin, Cresson, and Snow Shoe around 1015 AM EDT.
Tipton, Tyrone, and Horseshoe Curve around 1020 AM EDT.
Port Matilda, Hyner, and Bald Eagle around 1025 AM EDT.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Woodland and Milesburg exits, specifically from mile markers 125 to
157.
This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 24 to 71.
SAFETY INFO...
Visibility reductions below one mile and a quick
coating of snow may occur with these snow showers, creating
localized slick spots, especially on elevated roadways and
overpasses. Be prepared for changeable road conditions and reduce
your speed.
