* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.
* WHERE...San Fernando Creek near Alice.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs, with flow
200 yards wide. Lower sections of the Country Club Golf Course are
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 0.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.7 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.4 feet on 07/05/2002.

* WHEN...From late Saturday night until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding occurs. Hunting
cabins, oil field tanks and pumps are affected, and livestock
become isolated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 1.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early Sunday
morning to 16.1 feet Monday morning. It will then fall again
but remain above flood stage.

At 920 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles southeast of
Riviera Beach to 8 miles east of U S 77 Border Patrol Station to 7
miles southwest of Armstrong. Movement was east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Kenedy County Wind Farms, Norias, Armstrong, U S 77 Border Patrol
Station, and Armstrong Ranch Airport.
This includes US Highway 77 between mile markers 726 and 746.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of up to four inches and ice accumulations up to one
quarter of an inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Carlton, South and Central St. Louis, Cook and Lake
Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band,
the Grand Portage Reservation and the Bois Forte Band, Lake
Vermilion area. This also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and
central area.
* WHEN...From late Thursday night through early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
