NWS Blacksburg VA
Special Weather Statement issued March 27 at 2:18AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
Relative humidity values between 20 and 25 percent will combine
with wind gusts of 10 to 15 mph and dry fuels is expected this
afternoon. This will result in an increased fire danger.
People are urged to avoid outdoor burning. If you must burn, use
extreme caution since fires can grow quickly and become dangerous
in these conditions. Ensure that fire suppression equipment is
readily available. Properly extinguish and dispose of any smoking
materials.
The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a statewide ban on
all open burning until further notice, and all burning permits
have been cancelled. Residents with questions can contact their
NC Forest Service county ranger or their county fire marshal's
office.

Rip Current Statement issued March 27 at 2:49AM EDT until March 28 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Indian River, Coastal Saint
Lucie, Coastal Martin, and Coastal Brevard Counties.
* WHEN...Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.
Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.
Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

NWS Charleston SC
Special Weather Statement issued March 27 at 2:57AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC
The combination of critically dry fuels, relative humidity values
as low as 15 to 22 percent and ongoing drought conditions will
result in an enhanced fire danger across much of Southeast South
Carolina and Southeast Georgia away from the immediate coast this
afternoon. This includes the Francis Marion National Forest.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.

NWS Raleigh NC
Special Weather Statement issued March 27 at 2:59AM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
The combination of low relative humidity of 18 to 25 percent and
dry fuels will continue a risk of adverse fire behavior over
central North Carolina through this evening. While winds are not
expected to be strong, brief gusts to 15 mph are possible during
the afternoon, continuing the enhanced fire danger conditions.
The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a statewide ban on
all open burning until further notice, and all burning permits
have been cancelled. Residents with questions can contact their
NC Forest Service county ranger or their county fire marshal's
office.
