NWS Raleigh NC
Special Weather Statement issued March 27 at 11:12AM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
The combination of low relative humidity in the mid teens to lower
20s percent and dry fuels will continue the increased fire danger
risk over central North Carolina through this evening. While
winds are not expected to be strong, occasional gusts of 15 to 20
mph will be possible this afternoon.
The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a statewide ban on
all open burning until further notice, and all burning permits
have been cancelled. Residents with questions can contact their
NC Forest Service county ranger or their county fire marshal's
office.
